Grimsay Island - Directions & Map |

Directions from Lochboisdale. From the ferry, travel due west to Daliburgh. After you pass the Co-op the road turns north. Stay on this road. After approximately 20 miles you will cross over the causeway from South Uist to Benbecula. Soon after you will enter a 30 mph zone and pass another Co-op in Creagorry. Stay on the main road when leaving Creagorry. Approximately 200 yds after passing the junction to Balivanich/Airport you will see the sign for Petersport. Turn right along this road. You will come to a staggered crossroads with a red phone box, continue on, through the Z bend, then down the hill to sea level. On your left at the bottom of the hill is a derelict house with a black corrugated roof, just past that on your left and set back from the road is a small cottage. It is white (Skye marble harled) with a black roof. This is 1 Grimsay Island, Benbecula. Directions from Lochmaddy. From the ferry follow the road south to Benbecula. When you reach Clachan Stores there is a T junction, turn left, heading south again. After passing over a short causeway you will be on Grimsay (North Uist), continue south over a longer causeway onto Benbecula. Continue heading south towards Creagorry. Before reaching Creagorry you will pass a petrol station on your right. A few yards past this there is a road to the left signposted Petersport. Turn left along this road. You will come to a staggered crossroads with a red phone box, continue on, through the Z bend, then down the hill to sea level.
